Loretta Effie Brandon

Loretta Effie Brandon passed away just after Noon on Sunday, July 5, 2015, at her home in Lakeside, Navajo County, Arizona. She was 87 years old. Loretta was born on May 28, 1928, in Muscatine, Muscatine County, Iowa to her parents, the late Clarence and Effie (O'Dell) Rock. Loretta graduated from Muscatine High School in 1946. Loretta married Riley Brandon in Rock Island, Illinois on November 28, 1977. Being 17 years older than Riley, Loretta was Show Low's original "Cougar". The couple was married for 37 years and, together, they were truly an inspirational couple. Loretta worked at Nick's Market in Show Low, Arizona, Wilbur's Market in Pinetop, Arizona and was a yearly participant in the Christmas Cabin's Craft Sale. Loretta will be greatly missed by her family and many friends from the Lakeside and Snowflake Senior Centers. On March 31, 2010, Loretta was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Wayne Robinson of the Three Point Fire Department. She is survived by her husband, E. Riley Brandon; 4 children: Betty Franklin, Larry Robinson, Ginger White-Delozier and Marguerite Ellis. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Carol D. Burdick, whom she raised since childhood as well as 11 other grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law: Joyce Rock, Margaret Rock, Margori Brandon; 2 brothers-in-law: Charles (Lenette) Brandon and Bill (Belinda) Brandon. A special memorial service for Loretta will begin 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low, Arizona. Following the memorial service there will be a Pot Luck Dinner at the Pinetop/Lakeside Senior Center, 1594 Johnson Drive in Lakeside, Arizona. All are warmly invited to join Loretta's family as they continue to celebrate her beautiful life. Memorial contributions in Loretta's name to: The Pinetop/Lakeside Senior Center, P.O.
