Martha Sanchez

Martha Sanchez, age 85, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 7, 1929 in East Fork, Arizona to Eugene Bush and Irene Perry Bush. Martha was a very cultural woman who participated in everything from making cradle boards, beadwork, cooking, basket weaving, making camp dresses and many other traditional practices. She served as a cook for many years in the Elderly Services programs. Also was a member of the Fire on the Mountain Church and loved the Lord with her whole heart. She is survived by her son: Tracy (Karen) Sanchez, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The Edmond Cosay family, Darrell Tesay family, Ricardo Palmer family, Fabian Tessler family, Maynard and Ricky Tessler, Naydeen Clay family and William Tenijieth family. A 2 day wake will begin on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Sanchez family home, 4625 Tesslar Road in East Fork, Arizona. The funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Fire On The Mountain Church in East Fork, Arizona. Burial will follow at the Mission View Cemetery, also in East Fork, Arizona. Arrangements were handled thru Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel in Show Low, Arizona.
