Fred Korte passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, in Pinetop, Arizona. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona on December 12, 1951, to Marianna and Ray Korte Jr. Fred attended St. Francis, Central High School, and Phoenix College. He was a gifted woodworking craftsman, creating beautiful toys, birdhouses, trains, and other art forms with deft precision and creativity. Fred possessed a sharp wit and a heart that knew no bounds when it came to love of family and friends. His kind nature and electric smile engaged everyone he encountered and his sincerity made people feel genuinely appreciated. He loved the mountains where he cherished his time with loved ones and his beloved pets. Fred's legacy is one of peace, generosity, hope, and persistence; it is his lasting gift to those he loved. Fred was preceded in death by his father, Ray Korte Jr. He is survived by his mother, Marianna Korte, brother, Ray Korte III (Nancy), sisters Karen Robertson (Dan), Kristine Morris (Marty), Virginia Korte, and numerous nieces and nephews. A private celebration of Fred's life is planned for both Pinetop and Phoenix. Please contact the family for details.
