Judith Lynne Caldwell, of Lakeside, Navajo County, Arizona, passed away on March 8, 2015, surrounded by loved ones, at her home in Lakeside. She was 70 years old. Judy was born on December 6, 1944 in Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona. As an infant, Judy was left in an unlocked car and was immediately adopted by Don and Irene Cooper of Mesa. Judy went to school in the Mesa School system, graduating from Mesa High School in 1963. She later attended Arizona State University, receiving her Master's Degree in Education. Judy met and married Robert W. Caldwell, and gave birth to one son, Joseph Martin Caldwell in 1974. As a family, they moved to Pinetop, Arizona in 1976. Judy and Robert were divorced in 1979. She raised Joseph "Marty" as a single mom, working as an elementary school teacher for the White River School District. After 24 years with the school district, she was able to retire. Judy loved everyone unconditionally and would give the shirt off her back, in a "red hot" minute, to help anyone and everyone in need. Judy is survived by her son, Joseph "Marty" and MyChelle Caldwell; 3 grandchildren: Nicholas, Kellee, and Kyle and by a close family friend, whom she thought of as a son, Gavan Caldwell. She will be loved and missed by all. She now has her wings.
