Richard "Rick" Parkinson, 62, entered into rest on February 7, 2015 at his home in Lakeside, Navajo County, Arizona. He was born on June 28, 1952 in McNary, Apache County, Arizona to his parents, Charles "Charlie" and Celia Parkinson. Rick was a huge sports fan, whether he was playing, coaching, or watching any and all sports. He coached his kids for many years. He especially loved to teach and coach his one and only son, Charles. Rick was a very strong and good man, brother, son and father. He is survived by his ex-wife, Paula McCandless and his 5 children all of Lakeside, Arizona. His daughters, Reka (Mark) Padilla, Tracy (Ian) Hathcock, Lisa (Ray) Vozza, Marissa (Grady) Vance and his son, Charles Richard Parkinson; his 5 grandsons, Anthony Padilla, Logan Vozza, Cruz and Ryder Hathcock and Jet Vance; 5 granddaughters, Lexus Vozza, Peyton and Aly Padilla, Abigail and Gabrielle Hathcock and a grandkid on the way; brothers, Louis "Bert" Parkinson, Frank (Myra) Parkinson; sisters, Deborah Behn and Cheryl (Barry) Harville along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his dad, Charles "Charlie" Parkinson: brother-in-law, John Behn and a sister-in-law, Judy Parkinson. Funeral services will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Lakeside Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1520 Church Lane, Lakeside with a visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M.. Interment will follow in the Lakeside Cemetery, Lakeside, Arizona.
