Roger Alan Wright

November 22, 1947 — January 14, 2015

Roger A. Wright, 67, longtime resident of Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona went to be with our Lord on January 14, 2015 surrounded by his family in Show Low. Roger was born November 22, 1947 in Pana, Christian County, Illinois. He moved to Show low, Arizona in 1960 where he attended and graduated from Snowflake High School. Roger served his country with pride, honor and dignity in the United States Navy as he was on the USS Coral Sea CVA-43 from 1966-1969. After returning to Show Low, Roger was employed by White Mountain Passenger Lines, and later became owner of the company. Roger sold the business, and a few years later, he became a Park Ranger for Arizona State Parks working at Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area in Show Low. He retired from there after 6 years. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Chelo Wright; sister, Laura Jean Porter; nephew, Michael Porter; daughters, Rachel Nauman Wright and Olivia Dahm; son-in-law, Danny Dahm; grandchildren, Malek Padilla, Aaron and Ashley Nauman (twins), Michael Dahm, Josh Dahm, Timothy Dahm and Kyler Dahm. Memorial services will be held 2:00PM Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary~White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th ST., Show Low. Roger was a devoted loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Roger demonstrated well the love of his Saviour, and the love for others. Forever Roger will always be in our hearts and greatly missed.
