Claire Alice Cofsky, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Sierra Blanca Rehabilitation Center in Lakeside, Arizona. She was born November 27, 1929 in Worchester, Massachusetts to Eugene and Albina Choiniere. Claire attended Holy Name of Jesus School in Massachusetts where she sang in the choir. Singing was always one of her loves. She married Ted Cofsky from Millbury, Massachusetts, together they had 3 children: Lydia Phillips of Utah, Steve and Glenn both of Alaska. 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She loved painting and working with crafts of all kinds. Her yard was decorated with beautiful flowers and statues each year. Because of her efforts, Claire and Ted received a "Best Yard" award. Her dream came true when she became an LVN in California. She lived in California for 20 years before moving to Arizona in April of 1988. Claire helped in the kitchen and carried Sacrament to Father Bill Welch. She also prepared the alter and lit the candles for Mass at Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church in Snowflake, Arizona. She and Ted worked at Webb's Adult Care Center for many years and they also did private home care for many people over the years. A Memorial Rosary will begin at 11:30 am on Saturday, February 21, 2015 with the Mass to follow at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church, 1655 So. Main St. in Snowflake, Arizona. Arrangements were handled thru Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel in Show Low, Arizona.
