Venita Lu Martinez

Venita Lu Martinez, 59, went to be with the Lord January 7, 2015. She passed away at her home in Show Low, Arizona at 8:50 a.m. She was born August 26,1955 to the late William and Mildred Manues. Venita loved to volunteer at churches. She also loved camping, fishing and the casino. Venita is survived by her husband, Rudy Martinez; her sister, Freida Martin; her brothers, John Manues and William Manues; her three sons, Frank Martinez, Luis Castillo, and John James Castillo; her grandchildren, Matthew Graham, Kenyon Martinez, Amanda Graham, Elaine Graham, Estephanie Castillo, Stavros Castillo, Tabitha Castillo, Karma Castillo, Cherice Castillo, Emalee and Anthony Lee; her two great-grandchildren; her ten nephews, and seven nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred May Manues; her father, William Henry Manues; her sisters, Stella Peeler and Henrietta Soto, and her daughter Dorothy Lu Castillo. Services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Owens Livingston Mortuary at 320 N. 9th St. in Show Low. There will be a public visitation 1 hour prior. A graveside service will also be held Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Central Heights Cemetery in Globe-Miami Arizona. Owens Livingston Mortuary, White Mountain Chapel handled the arrangements.
