James Edward Worsham, died just before Noon on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona following a lengthy illness. He was 75 years old. Uncle Jimmy, as he was affectionately known by his family and "Jimmy Cracked Corn" by his grand-nieces, was born on May 6, 1939 in Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri to his parents, the late Arthur Craig and Nellie Mae (Hogan) Worsham. Jimmy was proud of his American roots, as he was a direct descendent of Alexander Coulter, Sr., who fought in the American Revolutionary War. As a young boy at the age of 5, Jimmy moved to Arizona from his native Missouri. He graduated from Sunnyslope High School, Class of 1957, in Phoenix and has been an avid supported of The Vikings ever since. Throughout his working life, Jimmy was a manufacturer of lithographs. He was a master of his craft and gifted with his attention to detail. Later, Jimmy went to work for a company and made circuit boards for NASA. His ideas, works and creations have made it to the moon and back with the Apollo Missions and have even orbited the earth on numerous occasions with the various Space Shuttle Missions. His family is proud of his many accomplishments and are grateful for the legacy he has blessed them with. One of the little pieces of heaven that Jimmy found on earth was the Little Colorado River in Greer, Arizona. There, he spent countless hours fishing with his brother, and together, they caught many a fish. Jimmy was also a rare find, in that, he was a black powder hunter. He just loved being outside. James Edward Worsham is survived by his sister, Ethel Margaret (Cecil) Chambers of Glendale, Arizona; 7 nephews and 3 nieces. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Arthur Frederic Worsham, Eugene Worsham and by a sister, Sandra Dew. A private family service will be held in the Spring of 2015 along the banks of the Little Colorado in Greer, Arizona. Memorial contributions, in his name, to the White Mountain Hospice Foundation: P.O. Box 1975, Lakeside, Arizona 85929 have been suggested by his family.
