Bobbie Gene Williams passed away at the age of 84, Friday, November 28, 2014 in Snowflake, Navajo County, Arizona. Gene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Farrell E. Williams and by her son, Craig. She is rejoicing in being with them again. Gene was born on October 31, 1930, in Eastland, Eastland County, Texas to her parents, the late Marshall H. and Ina Mae (Mitchell) Fox. She was raised in the Safford and Miami, Arizona areas, as well as Texas. Gene returned to college in Flagstaff, after her children were born, to obtain a teaching degree. She then earned her Master's Degree at NAU. She taught special education in Flagstaff for several years and became Supervisor over that program as well as the program for gifted children until she retired in 1984. She and Farrell returned to Safford after retirement. Gene loved serving those with special needs and was involved in the Safford community program for citizens with special needs. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She especially loved her two year mission with Farrell in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Gene is survived by her children: Farrell O. (Sheree) Williams of Tempe, Arizona, Roger T. (Dina) of Show Low, Arizona, Vicki C. Anderson of Safford, Arizona; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will begin 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 6, 2014, at the Solomon Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2249 S. Stevens Avenue in Solomon, Arizona where the visitation will begin 1 hour prior. The concluding service and interment will immediately follow at the Thatcher Cemetery in Thatcher, Arizona. Arrangements are being cared for by Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low, Arizona.
