On November 16, 2014, Jack Eugene Simpson went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, after a 14 month illness. He was born November 9, 1930, in Birmingham, Alabama. Jack went to Fairfax High School in Fairfax, Virginia. He loved playing football and was the quarterback and captain of his High School football team. After high school, Jack immediately went to work building his career in the automobile industry. He married a few years later and raised his family. He was active in his church, sang in the choir, and did whatever needed to be done. He was dedicated to his family and his business. He was the owner of Columbia Foreign Car Service in Phoenix, AZ. After retiring from business, Jack and Alice moved to Prescott, AZ in 2003. Living in Prescott had always been Jack's dream. Jack loved hiking, traveling and fishing. All of us whose lives were touched and enriched by him will miss him terribly. He had a wonderful dry sense of humor, a big heart and was a wonderful husband and father. He is survived by his wife Alice J. Simpson, his children Beverly Joy Cook, Andrew Simpson (Abbie), Victoria Jean Simpson, Jonathan Simpson (Maria), 8 grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at American Lutheran Church, 1085 Scott Drive, Prescott, AZ 86301 on December 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Any memorials may be gifted to American Lutheran Church.
