Carmen Arlene Rosendall, age 91, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Angel Wings Assisted Living in Vernon, Arizona. She was born May 17, 1923 in Austin, Minnesota to John Richard Miller and Nina Sahr Miller. Carmen was a survivor of a "polio-like" illness, who went on to live a full and productive life. She joined the United States Marine Corps in 1943 going thru Basic Training prior to being discharged for medical reasons. On the train home she met, and later married her husband, Clarence Rosendall who also preceded her in death. She was part of a large family and grew up in Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. Carmen loved to tell stories, loved to volunteer and shop in thrift stores, loved coffee and cookies; she was known as "Cookie Carmen." She would loved to have been a nurse, but couldn't afford training. Her daughter lived that dream for her. She was proud of her children, grandchildren and all of her family members. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel, 320 No. 9th St. in Show Low, Arizona.
