Cosay Reidhead of Whiteriver, Navajo County, Arizona passed away on Monday October 20, 2014 in Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona at the age of 82. Cosay was born to his parents the late, Daniel and Clarice (Danford) Cosay on September 5, 1932 in Cedar Creek, Gila County, Arizona. Cosay was employed for many years for the White Mountain Apache Tribal Game and Fish Department were he was part of the first team to stock fish, in the old metal containers, throughout the reservation. He worked for many years for the Game and Fish before becoming a Border Patrol Officer for the Whiteriver Police Department, a position he held for many years. He then conducted security for FATCO before taking on his last and most recent employment as a Stockman for the Cedar Creek Cattle Association in Cedar Creek, Arizona. A true "Cowboy", Cosay developed a rodeo family and spent many hours on the road with them attending different rodeo events. He trained horses throughout his life and did so for many friends and family members. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to take rides in the woods with his family sharing with them his favorite places he loved to visit as a child. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend he will be dearly missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Delores Reidhead of Whiteriver, Arizona; children, Erma (Wilbert) Naranjo of Cochiti, New Mexico; Joey, Heather, Marilyn and Doey Reidhead all of Whiteriver, Arizona; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; Godson, Boyd Antonio; brothers, Lowell (Clarinda) Altaha of Cedar Creek, Arizona and Herbert (Anita) Cosay of Mesa, Arizona as well as sisters, Hannah (Jay) Brooks and Renee Altaha of Whiteriver, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Farrison Riley Jr.; granddaughter, Journi Wind Riley; sisters, Thelma Yazzie and Rosina Lupe as well as a brother, Elmo Altaha. A one night wake will be held 10:00AM Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the family residence, #7 W. Cedar St., Whiteriver, Arizona. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the Cedar Creek Assembly of God Church with the interment to follow in the White Morning Dove Cemetery in Cedar Creek, Arizona.
