Judith Mae Rohrer

May 15, 1948 — October 10, 2014

Judith Mae "Star" Rohrer died Friday, October 10, 2014 at her home in Snowflake, Navajo County, Arizona following a lengthy illness. She was 66 years old. Star was born on May 15, 1948 in Whittier, Los Angeles County, California to her parents, the late Glen Montrose and Barbara Dean (Jones) Hendricks. Star has lived in Arizona for the past 42 years and, since 1980, she has made her home in the White Mountains. She appreciated the beauty of the area and truly found a great deal of joy from the simple things that life had to offer. Star loved to write. She wrote editorials, newspaper articles and covered local events for the Round Valley Newspaper for several years. Also, Star was a published writer and had 3 books of poetry printed. In her spare time, Star enjoyed beading and made, literally, hundreds of pieces of beaded jewelry for family and friends. Star is survived by her children: Jason Thomas (Jeanne Marie) Cribbs of Springerville, Arizona, Summer M. (Jason) Hartman of Mesa, Arizona; grandson, Brody Michael Hartman of Mesa, Arizona; brother, Tom (Sue) Hendricks of California. She also leaves behind her loyal dog, Peppa, who brought her a great deal of joy and happiness during the past few years. Along with her parents, Star was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Hendricks.
