Harvey Duane Adams

Harvey Duane Adams was called home to his Heavenly Father on October 3, 2014, surrounded by his loving family and good friends. He was born June 28, 1934 in McNary, Arizona to Edward Franklin Adams and Mettie Kirstine Hansen Adams. Harvey is survived by 2 sisters Mettie Elrod of Phoenix Arizona & Shirley Hatch of Taylor, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his father Edward Franklin Adams and his mother Mettie Kristina Adams. His brothers Chet Adams, Leonard Adams, Glen Adams and sister Georgia Kay. Harvey was married to Linda Lee Adams for 32 years and had acquired 7 children from this marriage; Bob (Paula) Jones of Phoenix, Brian Jones of Phoenix, Kim Cummings of Phoenix, Rhonda Meade of Show Low, Trudy (Bill) Rawlings of Wagon Wheel, Miranda Adams and Roger Allen Cummings who preceded him in death. From his previous marriage he had 6 children: Annette Adams of Tucson, Brett (Robin) Adams of Belin, New Mexico, Chris (Mike) Boden of Eagar, Tracy Adams of Tucson, Kyle Adams of Phoenix and Mike Adams of New Mexico. Harvey was blessed with 25 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. He never tired of teaching children about all the things he did and adventures that he had encountered. Stories were told and you never forgot them. Over the years Harvey became a professional of learning new trades and perfecting them. Favorite fun time was hunting elk, riding every road he could in the mountain, enjoying life, training horses, camping and snowmobiling. Harvey never met a stranger and when he left they never forgot him because of his laughter, jokes and always making you feel like you were someone. Harvey will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. He will always be remembered. The funeral service will begin 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Downtown Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 300 N. 11th Street in Show Low, Arizona, where the visitation will begin 1 hour prior. The concluding service and interment will immediately follow at the Show Low Cemetery. Arrangements were cared for by Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel in Show Low.
