Peggy Loneta Foster, of Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona peacefully passed away surrounded by her loved ones on September 20, 2014 at her sister's residence in Show Low following a long and valiant fight against brain cancer. She was 66. Peggy was born to Ben and Evelin Foster, a ranching family on November 29, 1947 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona. Peggy attended school in Snowflake, Arizona until 1956 when the family ranch was sold and they moved to Mesa, Arizona. It was there she attended the 2nd half of 3rd grade and completed her 8th grade year. During this time the family purchased a ranch in House Rock Valley, Arizona. They had many fond memories there and spent many summers together working the ranch. Following the sale of the land they moved to a ranch outside of Kingman, Arizona where she attended Kingman High School her freshman year, Westwood High School in Mesa her sophomore year. The family then moved to Show Low where she attended Lakeside High School in Lakeside, Arizona where she completed her junior and senior years. Following her graduation from high school in 1965, Peggy attended the Lamson Business College in Phoenix where she earned a degree in Business Administration. She held various positions and was well known in the Lumber Industry having received many awards for her excellence. Peggy was an independent, hardworking woman who prided herself in being responsible and loyal. Throughout her life, family always came first. She was affectionately known as "Aunt Pidge" to her many family members and friends. She was a natural born fighter having fought many years against the effects of brain cancer. She most recently moved to Show Low to live with her sister where she received the utmost care and comfort the last few years of her life. Peggy valued friendships and treasured the many friends she kept throughout her life. She enjoyed rodeos, ropings and spending time with family. Her home was always open to family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Ben and Evelin Foster. She is survived by her two sisters, Judy (Eddie) Hall and Thelma (Ronald) Marshall; a brother, JR (Lynette) Jones; longtime companion, Larry Beisner and his family as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary~White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th St., Show Low and one hour prior to services. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Show Low Downtown Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 300 N 11th St., Show Low with the interment to follow in the Show Low Cemetery.
