Caroline Lee Potter of Show Low, Arizona, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on August 25, 2014. Caroline was born to her parents, John Templeton and Elizabeth Whaley on October 20, 1941. She attended Northern Arizona University where she met the love of her life Richard Potter and they were married September 29, 1961. He preceded her death on July 17, 2000 and we know she is standing proud with him. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend. Her greatest accomplishment was being a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Caroline is leaving behind an incredible legacy. She is survived by her son, Mark Potter, his wife Lisa, her daughter Andrea Phelps and her Grandchildren whom she loved and cherished, Logan, Lexis, LeeAnn Potter and London, Sydney, Kohl and Wyatt Phelps. The love she felt for her family was unmistakably the greatest gift of her life. Caroline will be remembered for her generous, caring and giving spirit. She loved to play golf, cards with her friends and family, she loved to cook alongside her husband, and continued cooking for family (and many more) long after his passing. What really brought her joy was spending time with her grandkids. She was always generous with her time, volunteering throughout her life in many areas including her children's schools and activities, church, and non-profit organizations. Caroline was funny and everyone loved to be around her. She was truly a light in everyone's life. A celebration of life will be held Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10AM at Owens Livingston Mortuary, 320 N 9th St, Show Low, Arizona. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in memory of her to Save the Family, www.savethefamily.org - 125 E University Drive, Mesa, AZ 85201.
