She was born in Fort Thomas AZ. July 12, 1935 (in a cotton field) & grew up in Globe AZ. She attended Globe High School but did not graduate. She was in a car accident when she was 18 and suffered severe brain damage and many broken bones. That did not break her spirit. She overcame all obstacles caused by the accident on her own with no medical assistance. She got her GED and worked for the State of Arizona until asthma forced her to retire in 1994. She attended classes at Central Arizona College to learn how to use the computer. She always strived to improve herself. Her sense of humor was legendary as were her kindness, compassion and generosity. She loved nothing more than to make people laugh. Family was her biggest joy. She always remembered birthdays, holidays and special occasions with little gifts and cards even though she had very little money for herself. She loved animals, especially her dog Chico. She loved Country Music and taught herself to play chords on the guitar. She sang along with all the old favorites and knew the words to all of them. We will miss her so much, she will live in our hearts forever. Everyone who she came in contact with loved her and she loved them. A memorial to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
