Paul Albert Choquette died in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Haven of Show Low in Show Low, Arizona. He was 75 years old. Paul was born on July 9, 1939 in San Diego, San Diego County, California to his parents, the late Albert Joseph and Blanche Mary (Neaveau) Choquette. Paul graduated from Hoover High School's Class of 1957 in San Diego. In August of 1962, he joined the U.S. Army and served stateside during the Vietnam War. He received his honorable discharge from the Army in August of 1968. It was while serving in the military that he met the love of his life, Theresa Tenorio, in 1964. The following year, the couple married in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Cupid Chapel. The Choquettes most recently celebrated 50 years of togetherness. He adored his wife and lived to take care of her every need. Paul worked for AMCO Electric in San Diego for many, many years as an electrical estimator. Following his retirement, he and Theresa were able to move to the White Mountains and begin a new chapter in their lives. Together, they were very much involved with the Animal Rescue Program and were able to save all kinds of animals including: dogs, cats and birds which included many peacocks. Also, Paul and Theresa loved to dance together. For many years they participated in ballroom dancing and were, for each other, the perfect partner. Paul Albert Choquette is survived by his wife, Theresa T. Choquette of Show Low, Arizona; 3 sisters: Doris Cooper of San Diego, California, Joyce Daly of Phoenix, Arizona, Joane Hare of Houston, Texas and several nieces and nephews. The memorial service for Paul will begin 2:00 P.M., August 13, 2014 at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low where Chaplain Kevin Weaver from Hospice Compassus will officiate. Paul's wife, Theresa, is very grateful for the special care given by The Haven of Show Low during his stay there for the last several months. The care they rendered was both loving and professional. He truly loved the caregivers at the The Haven, and they in turn, loved him right back.
