Betty Charmaine Fury

Today, June 26, 2014, heaven gained another angel, our mother, Betty Charmaine Fury of Snowflake, Navajo County, Arizona peacefully passed away. She was 85. Our mother was born in Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri to Wilma and Owen Gowdy. She moved at the age of 4 to Los Angeles, California where she was raised in a home with her mother, sister, grandmother, aunts and cousins. She married our father, Olan Thomas Howard in 1944 and they began our family: Nanette Crawford of Jefferson, Texas, Linda Werkmeister of Phoenix, Arizona, Tom Howard of Snowflake, Arizona and Jack Howard of Rush Springs, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and various nephews and cousins. Private services will be held.
