William (Bill) Albert Burgan, 92, passed away peacefully in Lakeside, Navajo County, Arizona on June 14, 2014. Bill was born in Buffalo, Erie County, New York on February 10, 1922. He grew up in upstate New York around Jamestown and joined the United States Marine Corp. After returning from his tower of duty he met the love of his life Grace. On February 6, 1948 they were married and began their family. They had their first three children while still in New York State. They packed up and moved to Arizona in 1953 and ended up in the Cottonwood, Prescott area where they had their next two children. They then moved to Flagstaff where they had their next three children. Work then moved them to Springerville and then on to Show Low where the ninth and final child joined the family. Bill had a full and complete life; he was married for fifty-four years. He had many talents and enjoyed working on small engines and caring for all his rabbits and chickens. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace and his eldest son, Barry Burgan. He is survived by the rest of his eight children which include Ann Perez, Craig Burgan, Dana Burgan, Eric Burgan, Faith Burgan, Ginger Chalfin, Hoyt Burgan and Ivan Burgan. Bill also has 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Saturday June 21, 2014 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary~White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th St., Show Low from 8:00AM-9:30AM with a graveside service to follow at the Show Low Cemetery at 10:00AM.
