In loving memory of Mildred Goklish who was a loving mother grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who went home with the Lord on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in Tucson, Arizona. She was born on January 10, 1933 in Seven Mile, Arizona to Joe Bennett and Amy Elkin Bennett. She attended school at Theodore Roosevelt Ft. Apache, Arizona elementary thru high school. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and a good friend to many people with a big family and lots of relatives. Millie enjoyed cooking, sewing, beadwork, weaving baskets and making cradleboards for infants. She also helped on the ranch with cattle, horses and cooking for cowboys. Mildred was married to her late husband Max Goklish for more than 60 years; happily married until they both went home to be with the Lord. Both raised three sons and five daughters: Stevie, Martinez and Wayne Goklish, Blessing, Vernadale, Sharon, Maxine and Joann. 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Two sisters: Julia Mosby and Alice Bennett. Nieces: Ilona Williams, Christabelle Massey, Lemay Bennett and Genevieve Hopper. Nephews: Marvin "Smiley" Burnette, David "Punch" Massey, Renfro Massey Sr., and Kirk Massey, Sr. Goddaughters: Rosalinda Endfield, Georgianna Duncan, Nada Celeya and Marietta Palmer. Preceded in death by her late husband Max Goklish, father Joe Bennett, mother Amy Elkin Bennett and son Everette Goklish. Her body will be brought back to her house, North Fork Ranch-Alchesay Flat on June 18, 2014 at 10:00 am for a two night wake. The funeral service will be at the Open Bible Lutheran Church in Whiteriver at 7:30 am on Friday, June 20, 2014 with Pastor Joel Sutton officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Baha Springs Cemetery in the North Fork area.
