Brenda Joyce Gamble, age 68, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 at her home in Show Low, Arizona. Brenda was born on April 9, 1946 in Phoenix, Arizona to William "Bill" Kenneth Payne and Pansy Eva Langley Payne. Brenda graduated from Phoenix Union High School, class of 1964. She was a lifelong Christian; member of The Living Church in Lakeside, Arizona. She worked for and retired from Safeway in Pinetop after 25 years. She moved to Show Low from Chandler in 1980. Brenda worked at the Williams Air Force Base commissary as a cashier. She loved to sing; she even sang with Nancy Harmon and the Victory Voices. People would frequently mistake her for Elizabeth Taylor. She also enjoyed doing handicrafts. Brenda is survived by her husband David Lawrence Gamble. 4 children: Scott Gamble and Lynee Crank of Lakeside, Arizona, Kimberly (Mike) Peterson of Lakeside, Arizona, Glenda Rosekrans of Show Low, Arizona, and Tina (Scott) Horn of Churchton, Maryland. 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. 2 sisters: Shirley (Jim) Hall of Mountain Grove, Missouri and Beverly (Bob) Moskop of Mesa, Arizona. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Tammi Leabo, a grandson David Santiago, her mother and father: William and Pansy Payne. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at The Living Church, 3072 Lockwood Dr. in Lakeside, Arizona. A viewing will begin at Noon on Saturday at the church and run until services begin. Burial will follow at the Show Low Cemetery. Arrangements were handled thru Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel in Show Low, Arizona.
