Arthur Baca Serna

Arthur Serna (Art) passed away peacefully on May 29, 2014 at his home in Holbrook, Arizona. Arthur was born on March 17, 1938 in New Mexico, to Iro and Clorinda Serna, he was the second of seven children. They moved to Holbrook when he was very young. He attended the Holbrook schools and graduated in 1956. Arthur was married twice and had seven children: Arthur James (Cindy) Serna, Moe Serna, Chris (Debbie) Serna, Carol (Tommy) Baldwin, Valerie Sedillo, John (Diana) Serna, Crystal (James) Norton. He had 28 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He loved his children and grandchildren. Some of his best times were having large family campouts, whether it be for hunting or fishing, or just plain camping. He had done construction most of his life, but as he got older he went to work for the City of Holbrook at the Senior Center. He retired from the City of Holbrook. He was preceded in death by his parents, Iro and Clorinda Serna; his brother, Sunny Serna and three grandchildren, Billy, Jennifer and baby Faith. He is now fishing in heaven with his family. A memorial service has been planned for Monday, June 2, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the family residence; 1006 Hermosa in Holbrook, Arizona.
