John Arthur Leech, Sr., age 73, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014 at the Mayo Surgical Hospital in Scottsdale. He was born in Jonesburg, Arkansas on November 6, 1940 to Austin and Irene (Horne) Leech. John graduated from El Camino High School in California. He served honorably in the United States Army in 1958. In 1967 John decided to make the White Mountains his home. He brought with him, his knowledge and defined quality work of refinished paintwork to automobiles. He owned and operated several body repair shops in Show Low, his current shop is Nu Look Auto Body, Inc. He had over 45 years of experience in his profession. When not working, John enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and boating. He was a life-time member of the Show Low Elks Lodge #2090. John is survived by his wife, Becky Leech; children, Debbie Durran (Robert), Michael Leech, John Leech, Jr. (Riala), Heather Cowger (James) and Jessica Ballandby; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Show Low Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1401 East Deuce of Clubs. A public viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday evening May 23, 2014 at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street, Show Low and 1 hour prior to services at the church. Concluding Services and Interment will be at the Show Low Cemetery. The family would like to thank everyone for all their kind thoughts and prayers that have been given at this time.
