Merrill Lee Young

Merrill Lee Young died, the day after his 75th birthday, on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Banner Gardens in Mesa, Arizona following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 16, 1939 in Winslow, Navajo County, Arizona to his parents, the late James Merrill and Juanita Lucille (Jones) Young. Merrill was owner of Young Beer Distribution in Holbrook for many, many years. He is survived by 3 children: Frank Young, J. Merrill Young and "Johnnie" Young. Also survived by 3 step-children. 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father James Merrill Young, his mother Juanita Lucille Jones Young, his brother David Neil Young, a granddaughter Jessica LaDawn Young and his wife Sharon Young. There will be a viewing held on Friday night, May 23, 2014 from 5-7 pm at Owens Livingston Mortuary, 409 First Ave. in Holbrook, Arizona. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Holbrook Elks Lodge, 714 Elkdom Ave. in Holbrook, Arizona. Burial will follow at the Holbrook Cemetery.
