Dorothy Helen Franklin

August 22, 1927 — April 13, 2014

Dorothy Helen Franklin, of Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona peacefully passed away on Sunday April 13, 2014 in Snowflake, Navajo County, Arizona. She was 86. Dorothy was born to her parents, the late, Lee Roy and Ore Lucy (McMorris) Stevens in Ponca City, Kay County, Oklahoma on August 22, 1927. An avid traveler, she learned to drive at a young age. She drove a truck for many years before becoming a bus driver and then on to the carpet mill. Dorothy loved everything outdoors and enjoyed the beauty nature beholds. She loved being with her family and spent as much time as possible with them. Dorothy passed on her love for our Lord and her love of music to her children and always taught them the importance of both in their lives. Dorothy loved her life and will be missed by all but none more than by her own family. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Albert) Willis, Shirley Wirth, Helen Dye and Dee (Dana James Peterson) Stoner; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Thomas Stoner. Private memorial services are planned.
