Jodi Marie Quay, age 41, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Whiteriver Hospital in Whiteriver, Arizona. She was born October 1, 1972 in Whiteriver, Arizona to Slim and Marie White Quay. Jodi was a loving mother to her children. She attended school in Riverside, California at the Sherman Indian School. She loved co-ed softball and basketball. Jodi worked at Sunrise Ski Park as an instructor. She was the great great-granddaughter of Chief Alchesay; better known as A-1. She is survived by her 3 children: Aceyo Hill, Jesus Burnette and Heather Gushoney. Her parents: Slim and Marie Quay. Her brothers and sisters: Mark Quay, Vonda Bonito, Margie Romero, Valerie Burnette, Genevieve Lupe and Ruppert White. Many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her son: Elijah Hill. A 2 day wake will begin on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 10:00 am at the family residence: 614 N. 1st Ave. in Whiteriver, Arizona. The funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Rose of Sharon Church in North Fork, Arizona. Burial will follow at the Round Top Cemetery in North Fork. Services were handled thru Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel in Show Low, Arizona.
