Robert James Gibson

Robert James Gibson, of Lakeside, Navajo County, Arizona passed away following a lengthy illness on March 28, 2014 in Lakeside, Arizona. He was 83. Robert was born to his parents, the late Edward and Emma Harriet Gibson on April 4, 1930 in Saskatchewan, North Battleford, Canada. Robert was a member of the Canadian Air Force before coming to the United States. He loved America and on November 19, 2008 he became a proud United States citizen. He loved to fish, camp, travel and woodworking. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend he will be missed by all. He is survived by his sons, Jim and Michael Gibson of Canada; step-sons, Gary and Dale Ellerd and Michael Taylor of Arizona; step-daughter, Diana Jeanne of Arizona and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Gibson, June 2013. Private services are planned.
