Marilyn Jean Taylor

Marilyn Coop Taylor, 77, entered into rest March 28, 2014, peacefully at home with her daughters at her side. Marilyn was born September 23, 1936 in Grinnell, Iowa to George and Lela Coop. Marilyn, and her husband Don, had visited the White Mountains since 1980, making Pinetop their permanent residence in 1995. Marilyn was very active in the Pinetop community and the Pinetop Lakeside Chamber. Marilyn was very supportive of local events and charity benefits and believed in supporting her community. Marilyn was not only the secretary of Community Presbyterian Church but was also very involved at many levels within the church. Marilyn will be truly missed by her family, many friends and her church family. Marilyn is preceded in death by husband Don F. Taylor, son Jeff Taylor and parents George and Lela Coop. Marilyn is survived by daughters Valerie Taylor of Pinetop, Arizona and Vicki Taylor McGhghy (Ken) of Kansas City, Missouri, grandsons Sean Pertzborn and Tyler McGhghy both of Kansas City, Missouri, and sister Dora Mae Ullrich (Ivan) of Des Moines, Iowa. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Community Presbyterian Church located at 1940 S. Penrod in Pinetop, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, Marilyn requested that all donations be made to the Community Presbyterian Church of Pinetop. Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel of Show Low, Arizona handled the arrangements.
