On Tuesday March 25, 2014 Heaven called home one of its dearest angels, Frances "Beth" Perkins. Attended by her family, she passed gently at her daughter's home in San Tan Valley, Arizona. Beth was born August 11, 1918 in Claysprings, Arizona. She was the oldest child of Horace Crandell and Frances Ellen Goodman. As a young girl Beth loved to play baseball and dance. Beth married her "honeyman", John Perkins in the Mesa Arizona Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on October 5, 1934. Together they made family a priority and loved having family come home. Beth loved to travel, garden, can, quilt, embroider, and crochet. She passed these talents on to her daughters and many of her granddaughters. She loved to serve her family and others. No one ever left her home without being fed, receiving a bag of vegetables from the garden, getting a hug or a bit of wisdom from her 95 years of living. She had the unique ability to make everyone feel loved and each of the grandchildren felt that they were her favorite. Beth was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held numerous positions, including a teacher, ward librarian for 30 years and even in her 80's served as a Co-Primary Activities Day Leader with her granddaughter. Beth worked for many years in the school cafeteria where she made lifelong friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Curtis Perkins, her son Curt Perkins and her daughter Frances Kartchner. She is survived by 7 seven children, Joan (Boyd) Gardner, Shauana Bigelow, Roy (Nadean) Perkins, Wendell (Barbara) Perkins, Keith (Pam) Perkins, Clella Sinclair, Sanza (Narvin) McCleve: by 53 Grandchildren, 173 Great Grandchildren and 46 Great-Great Grandchildren. Beth touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. And will be missed by all.
