George Kingston Travers

George Kingston Travers, age 91, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Show Low, Arizona. He was born on January 25, 1923 in San Diego, California to Joseph Travers and Doris Geack Travers. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor. He was married to his loving wife for 63 years. He loved a good steak or prime rib. He was an avid pilot who loved to fly planes. George served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was a lifelong member of the VFW. He is survived by his wife: Doris; 2 children: Shirlene Taylor and Michael Travers; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; a cousin: Myrtle Moores. There are no public services scheduled at this time. Arrangements were handled thru Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel of Show Low, Arizona.
