Pamela Sikya dahl mana Lomayaktewa, was born on May 1, 1981 in Phoenix, Arizona, and passed on from this life on February 2, 2014 in North Fork, Arizona. A devoted and loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, auntie and friend, Pamela was noted for her cooking and baking. Family and friends expected "Pam's Birthday Cake" on their birthday. She was a descendant of two heritages; Pam was honored to have participated in the Apache Tradition and the Hopi Tradition. Although Pam may not have had monetary riches, she gave 110 percent of herself to her family. She cooked, cleaned, chauffeured, and got everyone ready for each day. Pamela was a selfless, beautiful spirit. Pamela loved reading, spending time with her friends, listening to a variety of music, watching movies, and sharing her life with her children and family. A lifelong resident of Whiteriver, Arizona, Pam attended Whiteriver Elementary, Whiteriver Junior High, Alchesay High School (class of 1999), and continued to strive towards a college degree attending Scottsdale Community College and Northland Pioneer College. In Junior High Pam played the clarinet and was a member of the National Honor Society in High School, and attended Upward Bound for 3 years at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Survivors include her children: Torique, Summer, Gabriel and Devon Alsenay. Father: Michael Lomayaktewa. Mother: Colleen Rustin. Brother: Mike Lomayaktewa. Hopi Kachina godmother: Laura Talahaftewa. Apache godparents: Jeanette and Fernando Tenijieth, and many friends and relatives from the Hopi and White Mountain Apache Tribes. She was preceded in death by a grandfather: Francis Rustin and a brother: Grayo Lomayaktewa. The viewing will be on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 8:00 to 10:00 am at the White Mountain Apache Baptist Church in Whiteriver, Arizona. Immediately following at 10:00 am, Pastor Jon Hoyt will preside over the funeral services. Interment will be at the Golden Gorge Cemetery in Diamond Creek, Arizona. Services were handled thru Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel in Show Low, Arizona.
