Richard Gerald Flores

May 9, 1952 — January 27, 2014

Richard Gerald Flores went to be with the lord on January 27, 2014 in Chandler, Arizona. He was born May 9, 1952 in Flagstaff, Arizona to Melaquias (Mike) and Grace Flores. Mike and Grace raised Richard along with is 4 Brothers and 5 Sisters in Flagstaff with a set of family values very few get to enjoy. Family was first and foremost to Richard, whether you were part of his immediate or extended family. He was a Kind, Gentle, Loving and Compassionate man who had an unforgettable smile. From the moment you met him he touched your life and you became a part of his family. As a boy Richard spent his time between Flagstaff and Rowe, New Mexico, where he and his brothers and sisters spent a lot of summers on his Uncle Joe's ranch. Richard grew up with a love for the outdoors, camping, fishing and baseball. Richard graduated from Coconino High School in 1970. Richard married Barbara McFall in 1972. When Richard and Barbara got married, he added 5 sisters and 5 brothers to his already large family. The Flores and McFall family started a bond like no other. If you ever had an opportunity to spend time with this group you would know that there were no in-laws, they were indeed one huge family where everyone was simply your brother or sister. Richard and Barbara were blessed with two wonderful sons, Jeremy and Justin. Richard moved his family to lakeside in 1980 were he began working with some of his brothers in their dental lab. Richard passed his love for baseball on to his sons and could be found at the Little League field almost every night while he coached his boys or umpired. All the way to the end Richard could be found at the high school watching ball games. In 1991 Richard gained another new family when he began working at Navopache Electric, where he was employed until his untimely passing. Richard was preceded in death and now joins his son Justin, father Mike as well as many many more family members. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Barbara, son Jeremy, mother Grace, grand-children Chance & Chandler; as well as his 4 brothers 5 sisters and his 9 additional brothers and sisters by his marriage to Barbara. He will be greatly missed by all who ever met him, but maybe most by his many nieces and nephews.
