Loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Willie Mae Rayford, age 87, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Show Low, Arizona. She was born October 7, 1926 in Taylorsville, Mississippi to C.H. Henry and Daisy Cooley Henry. Willie Mae married her sweetheart, Willie Davis Rayford, in July of 1951 and, together, they raised their family. She worked at the McNary Pre-School and Elementary School as a teacher's aid and retired from the Blueridge Elementary School as a custodial worker. She was an active member of the Blooming Grove Baptist Church, where she loved to attend meetings and socialize with her friends. Willie Mae was a feisty woman who loved to do yard work; she especially working in her flower garden and vegetable garden. She loved fishing in the great out-of-doors. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandson. She is survived by her 4 children: Antoinette Rayford, Lucy Ann Rayford, Roberta Rayford and Timothy Rayford. 1 grandchild: Monte Rayford. Nieces and nephews: Albert Rayford, Jr., Sally Morhning, Linda Rayford, Rita Rayford and Michael Rayford, and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Most recently, she was preceded in death by her husband in August of this year. The funeral service will begin 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Blooming Grove Baptist Church in Lakeside, Arizona where the viewing will begin 1 hour prior. The concluding service and interment will follow at the Lakeside Cemetery. Arrangements were cared for by Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel of Show Low, Arizona.
