Sandra Louise Hancock, the big kid at heart and our sister, has left us for her next adventure on Thursday, October 24, 2013 in Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona. She was born on August 24, 1957 in Snowflake, Navajo County, Arizona to her parents, the late Chet J. and Vida Katren (Lard) Hancock. She was a joy to her family; especially her nieces and nephews, for the sharing of herself, her compassionate heart, her love for children, and animals. She had a talent for caricature drawing, crafts, a love of learning and was a guide to those that needed help. And, oh yeah - don't forget her jokester side - she loved a good prank! She will be greatly missed. Sandra is survived by her brothers and sisters: Rose (Clarence) Petersen of Springerville, Arizona, Vickie Ross of Show Low, Arizona, Verlie (Roger) Douglass of Tacoma, Washington, Timothy (Annette) Hancock of Linden, Arizona, Patricia (Wilfred) Armijo of Taylor, Arizona, Storm (Ava) Hancock of Show Low, Arizona, many, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Along with her parents, she is now reunited with a brother, Bart James Hancock. A special memorial service for Sandra will be held at a later date.
