Ruby Bedonie Gishal, of Jeddito, Navajo County, Arizona suddenly passed away on October 2, 2013 in Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona. She was 89. Ruby was born the eldest child to the late Jim Bedonie and Betty Jim in Jeddito, Navajo County, Arizona on October 15, 1923. Ruby was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and an excellent Homemaker. She was an avid crafter who loved to crochet, but was known for her impeccable weaving skills. Ruby loved to do word puzzles and enjoyed being with her family. A generous and humble lady, Ruby was a God-fearing woman. She was a medicine woman and a member of the Native American Church. She was a baptized member of the Catholic faith. She was a "Cowgirl" at heart having raised cattle, sheep, horses and chickens. She is survived by her children, Peter Gishal, MaryAnn Robertson, Anita Haskie, Stacey Gishal, Juanita Roanhorse, Milton Gishal, Jr. and Will Gishal; 34 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Milton Gishal Sr.. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM Wednesday October 9, 2013 at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 212 E. Arizona, Holbrook, Arizona. Interment will follow in the Holbrook Cemetery.
