Roger Llewellyn Warner died on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his home in Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona following a lengthy illness. He was 70 years old. Roger was born on January 26, 1943 in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island to his parents, the late Edward L. and Eliza (Dunn) Warner. As a teenager, Roger moved to Arizona, making his home in the valley. He worked as a carpenter for the Phoenix Elementary School District. Following his retirement from the school district, Roger began another career working for the National Parks Service. He loved every moment of the time he was able to spend wearing that hat! He always appreciated the fact that he was able to earn a living by doing something that he enjoyed so much. Roger was a collector of all types of music. He had record collections on vinyl, 8 track tapes, cassettes and CDs. In recent years, he would regularly make special CD gifts for his family and friends. Roger is survived by his wife, Barbara (Truscott) Warner of Show Low, Arizona; 2 sons: Brian Warner of Tempe, Arizona, Michael Warner of Show Low, Arizona; 2 sisters: Carole Robinson of Scottsdale, Arizona, Jo-Ann Price (Dennis) of Dewey, Arizona; 2 brothers: Jerry Warner (Kathy) of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Richard Warner (Donna) of Chaska, Minnesota. A special "Cowboy" service will be held at a later date in October at the Methodist Church in Gold Canyon, Arizona.
