Christopher Paul Blackwell

Christopher Paul Blackwell died unexpectedly during the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the Maricopa County Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He was 23 years old. Christopher, who was affectionately known as "Bubba" by everyone who knew him, was born on September 27, 1989 in Phoenix, Arizona to his mother, Donna Marie (Lindstrom) Baird and his father, Scott Blackwell. Bubba received his education from the Blue Ridge Unified School District in Lakeside. He was a friend to many there and since high school, Bubba has always enjoyed spending good times with his family and host of friends. His loving mother says, "We all will miss him a great deal." Bubba never lacked ways in which to pass his spare time. He was an excellent pool player and bowler. They were his favorite activities and always looked forward to the times he could play again. Too, when it came to music, he listened to all kinds, as he appreciated it all so much. Bubba also was a really good video player and had dozens and dozens of games that he enjoyed playing through the years and, if a good movie was on the t.v., he could be found watching it. Also, he was a sports enthusiast and loved to watch the Phoenix Suns play basketball, when possible, as well as the Arizona DiamondBacks' and Chicago Cubs' baseball games. He was not one to shy away from "hooting and hollering" whenever his teams were doing well! Bubba also was an individual who appreciated spending time in the out-of-doors. He spent countless hours taking long walks, wherever his heart desired and always enjoyed a good camping trip with his family and friends. Bubba also enjoyed fishing at a couple of his favorite fishing holes. He was a special young man who was forthright and honest and shared everything with his family. He was loved by so many however, none will miss him more than his dear family. Bubba is survived by his mother and step-father, Donna & Larry Baird of Snowflake, Arizona; 2 brothers: Mike Lindstrom of Snowflake, Arizona, Jason Lindstrom of Snowflake, Arizona; 2 nieces: Jordin Lindstrom, Aayla Lindstrom 1 nephew, Aiden Lindstrom and by his father, Scott Blackwell. The funeral service will begin 12 Noon, Friday, September 20, 2013 at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low, Arizona where the public visitation will begin 1 hour prior. The concluding service and interment will immediately follow at the Lakeside Cemetery in Lakeside, Arizona. A special memorial fund, "On Behalf of Christopher Blackwell" has been established at Compass Bank, account # 6716343306.
