June Lottie Brewer

June 14, 1917 — August 24, 2013

June Lottie Reidhead Brewer, age 96, went to join her eternal sweetheart, Smith F. Brewer, on August 24, 2013. She was born June 14, 1917 to Rose Mary Merrill and Austin (Dutch) Reidhead at Joppa, Arizona. She passed away peacefully after a short illness at the Flagstaff Medical Center. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Smith of 72 years at the time of his passing; two of her daughters: Debra and Annette; Two Grandchildren; one great grandson; her parents; her sister Helen Webb, and her two brothers: Theo & Jack. She was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in many positions in the Relief Society, Young Women President, and she was the Junior Sunday School Coordinator for many years. She served as Relief Society President when they were serving a mission in England. They also served for 10 years as Ordinance Workers in the Mesa Arizona Temple. She retired from the U S Post Office after 21 years. She sold Avon for many years as well. She never met a stranger and she loved her many friends, whom she kept in close contact with. She loved to garden, knit, crochet, embroider and sew. She taught all her girls how to sew and enjoy housekeeping and gardening. There were no in-laws, we were all just her children. She is survived by six of her daughters, Betty June (Jerry) Taylor, Carole (Lynn) Despain, Lorna (Gary) Downing, Suzanne (John) Allen, Judy (Larry) Reidhead, Barbara (Marshall) Yarn; Rick Gardner, Debra's Husband, 32 grandchildren, 126 Great Grandchildren, and 94 great-great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Owens Livingston Mortuary Heritage Chapel, 84 E. 19 S. Snowflake, Arizona on Thursday, August 29th from 6-8 pm and again 1 hour prior to the funeral which will be held at 2 pm on Friday, August 30th at the Snowflake Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 9th S. 2nd West, Snowflake, Arizona. Interment will follow at the R.V. "Mike" Ramsay Memorial Cemetery, Snowflake, Arizona.
