David Glen Weatherford was born September 6, 1950 to James & Tennie Weatherford. He and his mother moved to the White Mountains of Arizona, where David grew up and met his childhood sweetheart, Connie Boring. The two dated for several years and were eventually married on February 18, 1969 in the Mesa Arizona Temple, settling to live in the Snowflake/Taylor area for the majority of their life together. Their marriage was blessed with three lovely children, one son, and two daughters. David spent his employed years as a journeyman auto mechanic, working for Lee Geiger and the paper mill, before taking a medical retirement in 1999. He suffered from kidney failure and was a transplant recipient, a gift that improved his life far past the normal life expectancy of most transplant recipients. David enjoyed many things, but those who knew him well will remember him having a great love for motorcycles. He joined a local bike club and could often be found planning trips or taking rides with friends and his wife. He enjoyed being able to travel this way while his health permitted it. Even though his health was not the best, one could always find David at his home, welcoming family and friends over for special dinners, visiting and laughter. Quick to help anyone in need, his smile was infectious and his heart was just as big as the rest of his personality. He was loved by all who met him. David passed away peacefully at his home on August 13, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Connie Weatherford of Taylor, AZ., son, James Weatherford (Lacey Weatherford) of Snowflake, AZ., daughter Brenda Lunt (Benjamin Lunt), of Taylor, AZ., daughter, Shiela Jarvis (Mitch Jarvis) of Chandler, AZ., twelve grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Services will include a visitation Monday evening, August 19, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Owens Livingston Mortuary Heritage Chapel, 89 E. 19 S. in Snowflake, AZ. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 10 AM at the Taylor LDS Stake Center, 400 W. Willow Lane, with a visitation one hour prior.
