Rosalie Perea Sample

Rosalie Perea Sample, of Holbrook, Navajo County, Arizona suddenly passed away in Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona on June 28, 2013. She was 74. Rosalie was born, the oldest of 11 children, to the late Demetrio Perea and Consuela Abeyta in Holbrook, Arizona on October 15, 1938. Rosalie married the love of her life, Henry Chavez Sample Sr., on February 14, 1958 in St. Johns, Arizona. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed traveling all over the United States visiting her brothers and sisters. She enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved to fish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Sample Sr.; son, Henry C. Sample Jr. and a grandson, Michael Brown. Rosalie is survived by her 4 children, Delfina (Frank) Baca, Thomas (Peggy) Sample, Derrick (Bobbi) Sample and Christina (Frederick) Baca as well as 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM Friday July 5, 2013 at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 212 E. Arizona, Holbrook with a visitation beginning at 9:00AM and the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 9:45AM. Interment will follow in the Holbrook Cemetery.
