Norma Clea Kendrick

October 22, 1932 — June 27, 2013

Norma Clea Kendrick, of Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona peacefully passed away at her sister's home in Show Low on June 27, 2013. She was 80. Norma was born on October 22, 1932 in Meeker, Rio Blanco, Colorado and was the second child born to Floyd Earl Perrine and Ethel Louise French. Norma was a shy little girl and to this day that has never changed. In 1948 Norma and her family moved to Fort Ord, California and that is where she met the love of her life, Andy Kendrick. They were married on April 9, 1950 in the base chapel at Fort Ord. Norma and Andy had three children, Andy Jr., Marcella Lynn and Ricky Authur. They also had two grandchildren that they helped raise. They moved to Show Low, Arizona where Norma worked for the Goldwater Hospital for several years before going to work at the B R Lumber Company and then the Show Low School District. Norma was a wonderful cook and loved to work in her yard. She was baptized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on May 24, 1969 and was sealed in the Mesa Arizona Temple on March 10, 1971. Andy and Norma worked in the Snowflake Temple from the day it opened until about three weeks before Andy's passing. She held many jobs throughout the church including working with the Cub Scouts, teaching primary and working in the nursery for fifteen years and was the compassionate service leader for almost that many years. Norma is survived by her children, Andy Kendrick Jr., Ricky Aurthur Kendrick and Marcella Lynn Kendrick; grandchildren, Andralee, Meichelle, Michael Bratten, Benjerman, Jacob; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Isabelle, Aiernna, Liam, Justin; great-great- grandchild, Harmony Jewell; sister, Goldean Berry all of Show Low; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Sheppard and a niece, Tish of Dallas, Texas. A viewing will be held from 6:00-7:30 Tuesday July 2, 2013 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary~White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th St., Show Low, Arizona. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Wednesday July 3, 2013 at the Downtown Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 300 N. 11th St., Show Low with an additional visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the Show Low Cemetery, Show Low, Arizona.
