Donna Marie Brown, born on July 20, 1948 in Mohawk, Herkimer County, New York passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 1, 2013 in Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona. She was 64. She is survived by her 2 brothers, Tom Brown, Lester Brown Jr. and her cousin, Judy Pobihun. She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Les Brown Sr.; her brother, Gary and her companion, Bette Martin. Donna attended St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing in Uttica, New York and worked for 20 years at Upstate Medical Center at Syracuse, New York, before moving to Pinetop, Arizona in 1991. She joined the medical staff at Navapache Medical Center for 20 years fulltime and later as a part-time on call nurse. She will always be remembered for her "white trash," buckeye balls and rocky road candies that were shared every Christmas holiday with hospital employees. Donna loved to play golf and was a member at Pinetop Lakes Golf and Country Club for 20 plus years. During that time, she served as a Board Member and on various committees. She volunteered her barbeque skills every year for the annual Run-For-the-Pines Car Show. You would find her at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift store every Monday morning volunteering her skills and talent to keep some semblance and order in the store. Her exuberance for life was to be envied and she loved everyone. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and loved ones. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:00AM Monday, June 10, 2013 at the St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 1915 S. Penrod Lane, in Pinetop with a viewing beginning at 8:00AM and The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will start at 8:30AM. Private family graveside services will be held in the Show Low Cemetery in Show Low, Arizona.
