Judith Miller Lowery of Shumway, Arizona, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Haven of Show Low following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 68 years old. Judith was born in Prescott, Yavapai County, Arizona on August 31, 1944 and spent time growing up in Hillside, Arizona, Tolleson, Arizona and Arkansas. She is the youngest daughter of two, born to Archie B. and Dorothy (Reagan) Miller. Judith worked for several government agencies throughout her life and enjoyed working as a dispatcher for the Arizona Department of Agriculture the best. After retiring in the late 1990's, she became a fulltime homemaker so that she could enjoy watching her grandchildren grow up. Judith married on August 14, 1965, and after 48 years of marriage leaves behind her husband, Lester A. Lowery; her daughter, JoanEllen Lowery-Lowry; 2 grandsons: Mark Allen,Waylon James Lowry; 2 great-grandchildren: Zoey Marie and Blake Allen Lowry. She also leaves behind her sister, Jolene Miller as well as several nieces and nephews. Judith wished to have only a service and gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life. The service will begin 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Love Lake Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 700 E. Love Lake Road in Taylor, Arizona immediately followed by a luncheon. Later that evening there will be a Cowboy Dinner at the home of The Lowrys', 3109 Love Lake Road in Taylor, Arizona beginning at 5:00 P.M. and all are warmly welcomed.
