Mary Edith Hilton

Mary (Edith) Hilton, 82 of Overgaard, Arizona passed on to be with the Lord on May 27, 2013 in Show Low, Arizona. Mary was born on March 19, 1931 in Waterloo, Iowa to Medar and Elsie (McKeen) Heidt. She grew up in Iowa with her parents and five brothers and sisters. On June 14, 1963 Mary married Ronald (Roy) Hilton in Iowa in which they shortly moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1969. Mary worked at the local Smitty's grocery store for several years to come until they moved to Overgaard, Arizona in 1980 for retirement. While living in Overgaard, Mary volunteered for the Lions Club and American Legion with her husband for several years. Mary also enjoyed spending time with her beloved family, friends and church groups. She loved going to church, praising the Lord and church activities. Mary is survived by her son, Roderick (Sue) Hilton and daughter, Lorinda (Erik) McKernan; grandchildren: Dixie Hilton, Kayla McKernan and Ian McKernan; great grandchildren: Erik and Kyra McKernan-Sotelo. She was preceded in death by her five brothers and sisters and her husband Ron Hilton. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church 3048 Hwy 277 in Overgaard, Arizona. Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel handled the arrangements.
