John William Bees

John William "Bill" Bees, age 86, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Show Low, Arizona. He was born October 31, 1926 in New Castle, Pennsylvania to Richard and Margaret Mottinger Bees. Bill graduated from Union High School in New Castle, Pennsylvania then served in the U.S. Navy Air Corps. He owned his own business prior to moving to Tucson, Arizona in 1953 where he worked in construction. Bill is a past President of the Tucson Rod and Gun Club in Tucson and was still an active member of the club. He and Helen were married for 65 years. He is survived by his wife: Helen of Tucson, Arizona; a daughter, Catherine (Ronald) Bierman of Bakersfield, California; 2 grandchildren: Rene` Grogan and Ronni (Jeffrey) Gates all of Bakersfield, California; 2 great-grandchildren; Cameron Grogan and Jency Gates both of Bakersfield, California; 6 brothers and sisters: Peggy, Nancy, Carol, Jim, Dave and Chester; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his brothers: Robert, Tom, Russell and Donald. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel 320 N. 9th Street, Show Low, Arizona. A cremation will take place after the service.
