Margaret Ellen (Howe) Walker passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Sierra Blanca Care and Rehab in Lakeside, Navajo County, Arizona. Margaret was born on November 2, 1939 in Wauwatosa, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin to Helene Leonora (Woebke) Howe and Bernard "Bernie" Carl Howe. She was the eldest of 13 children (7 girls and 6 boys), including her brother, William "Bill" Carl Howe, with whom she was the closest until the very end. She had 11 children (9 boys and 2 girls), Dyanne, William, Edward, Jackson, Michael, Carl, Patrick, Francis "Frank", Denise and Dennis (Twins) and James. She also had 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She moved to Arizona from California in December 1979 and moved to Show Low from The Valley in 1982. Margaret divorced her husband, Ken Adams, in the spring of 1983. A short time later that year, while living in Lakeside, she met the love of her life, Jo Millard Walker. They were together every day since the day they met and were married a few years later in New Mexico, settling back in Show Low. They were constant companions, never apart, and were best friends until Jo's death on September 7, 2007. She was lost without him and she missed him every day until she went to be with him again, for eternity. Margaret loved all animals, especially dogs and cats. She and Jo took in strays often and had many dogs and cats up until Jo's death in 2007. Her health forced her to find them all new homes after her husband's passing. She and her husband enjoyed camping, fishing, sightseeing, hunting for lost buried treasure and exploring the great out-of-doors together, just the two of them, most of the time. The years she spent with Jo were the happiest years of her life. They did everything together or nothing at all. Preceding her in death were her husband, Jo Millard Walker; mother, Helene; father, Bernard "Bernie" Howe; most of her brothers and sisters; 8 of her children, Dyanne, William, Edward, Jackson, Michael, Carl, Patrick and Dennis; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is survived by daughter, 1 Denise and Paul Renner (Campbell) of Show Low; 2 sons, Frank Corbett, III of Tennessee, James and Sandy Howe of Lakeside; 14 grandchildren: Merle Campbell, Jr., Chaz Campbell, Christopher Campbell, Rachael Renner, Frank Corbett, IV, Josh Nelson, Anthony Santiago, Harley Wheeler, Chrissy Wheeler, Christopher Castles, James Howe, Jr. "JJ", Amy Baker, Nathan Baker, Crystal Lewis Howe; 5 great-grandchildren, Dominick Campbell, Lackary Banford, Aiden Campbell Jones, Brianne Campbell and Chaz Campbell Jr. "May your spirit be free and your Eternity in heaven be spent exploring the many treasures in Heaven with Jo. We will not say 'goodbye'only, 'until we meet again at Heaven's gate.' We love you." Private family services are planned.
