Walker Gene Bomar died Saturday, May 4, 2013 in Lakeside, Navajo County, Arizona from injuries he sustained as the result of a car crash. His late grandfather, Steven Massey was there to welcome him into heaven. He was 14 years old. Walker was born on May 28, 1998 in Show Low, Arizona to his mother, Jill Rebekah (Massey) Bomar and his father, Trevor Lee Bomar. Walker was a son, brother, nephew, grandson, cousin, friend and cancer survivor. In his short but amazing life, he accomplished many dreams. He was a freshman at Blue Ridge High School in Lakeside, Arizona. He was a team member for their Freshman Football Team and he truly loved the thrill of the game! He loved sports and his goal was to play in the NFL. He might have made it had his life not ended so suddenly. He is survived by his parents, Trevor and Jill Bomar; siblings, Josh, Keegan and Aidan Bomar; grandparents: Dick and Monica Bomar, Steve and Yolanda Straind, Robin Massey and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed and his memory forever cherished. "We love you Walker, Heaven must be amazing, You're in God's hands now so we know you are safe." The funeral service will begin 12:00 Noon on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Blueridge Christian Center, 184 W. White Mountain Boulevard in Lakeside. The committal service and interment will immediately follow at the Lakeside Cemetery in Lakeside, Arizona. An additional Celebration of Life service will begin 6:00 P.M., Friday, May 10, 2013 at the Blue Ridge High School Auditorium, 1200 W. White Mountain Boulevard in Lakeside, Arizona, where everyone is welcome to attend and share any memories they have of Walker.
