James William Pooser was called home to his Lord & Savior on February 22, 2013 passing away suddenly in Flagstaff, Coconino County, Arizona at the age of 67. He was born on March 26, 1946 in Glendale, Los Angeles County, California to Clyde Bunker Pooser, Jr. and Barbara Catherine Parr. Jim loved bowling, people who bacame acquainted with him liked his child-like attitude, he liked to laugh, joke around, and have a good time; in fact, the biggest thing that people noticed about him was his laugh. Jom loved going to church, reading the Bible, and developing a close relationship with his Savior. On October 6, 1973, he married the love of his life, Cheryl Rae Sonntag, even though life took him another direction, he continued to appreciate her friendship and the special person she was. Jim was also blessed to have a son, Doug; whom he kept in regular contact even though distance separated them most of their lives. When Doug lived in Flagstaff for a time, they would take time to enjoy golfing and spending time together as father and son. Together on a separate occasion, they admired the spectacular wonder of Canyon de Chelly National Monument. Jim is survived by his son, Douglas Sonntag; sister, Kathryn Pooser; brother, Clyde (Alice) Pooser and their two children, Jim Chang & Chin Chin; his former mother-in-law, Mona Jean Sonntag. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the First Southern Baptist Church, 360 1st Ave. in Holbrook.
